It has been two years since Pixar has released a movie, "Monsters University" was the latest movie in 2013.
We have all been waiting and anticipating exactly what they had up their always ingenious sleeve. I'm happy to announce that this sweet little movie is pure genius! Brainchild of Pete Docter and Ronaldo Del Carmen.
This is the story of Riley (Kaitlyn Dias), an eleven year old girl who has been uprooted from her happy and perfect  little life with her mother (Diane Lane) and father (Kyle MacLachlan) from the Midwest to cosmopolitan San Francisco where her father has relocated for his employment. Leaving behind all of the things she loves and cherishes so dearly, her friends, schoolmates and being the star of her hockey team. She was excited and anxious to start her brand new life in San Francisco, but when things don't go quite as she had anticipated, she starts to encounter a myriad of brand new emotions. Riley was struggling with her new life and trying to find her way in her new school. Feeling very alone and desperate, she decides to take matters into her own hands. This is where her emotions start to take over. Each emotion is identified and labeled with its own personality; Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith). Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Bing Bong (Richard Kind). All of these interesting little "emotion characters" were so much fun and spot-on for a young pre-adolescent child.
"Inside Out", takes you back to your own childhood or your children's childhood and what young people encounter.
I found this movie to be completely entertaining and a work of sheer genius. It was so much fun to see the emotion personalities play-out and resolve their own issues regarding young Riley.
Parents be advised: This movie deals with real life situations that children can relate to and their accompanying emotions. Some children might find this too realistic.
I am giving "Inside Out" four bags of popcorn.
